As I go through the process of building one, I am kind of upset with myself for selling mine to you way back when. Oh well, POE tops never came in yellow or white (well, maybe one) so I guess it will be ok.

daniel,

Not to get off track here but do you know who owns the green D110 parked in soho around Greene and Prince I think. It's always parked around there I think.

It's looks like its a pretty new one and not a rebuild -93, It looks really clean.

Just curious.

I live a few blocks from there. I haven't seen it, but if I see it around I'll try to catch him or at least take a picture.

yeah i met the guy one day. I was driving around down there and he pulled out in front of me. I flashed him down and we chatted a bit. He told me it was a 06 I think. and he gave me the - yups its grey market alright look with his eyes because his wife and kids were in the truck. It has a Copley plate on it if i remember correctly. its a very nice truck.

I am also seeing this '83 or '84 brown 110 in the soho lately. no idea who drives it but it has Ontario plates on it. RHD i think.

saw a beautiful Arles Blue SW parked on Elizabeth St today around 3:30-4; hazards were on but couldn't find the owner. Gorgeous color.

We should get a Tri-state wheeling trip going. Mine has been a softroader so far under my ownership but I am itching to hit up pine barrens etc.

There are a few of us in Jersey - would love to see a tri-state meet go on. Could do something in PA or MA as they have some trail that I've heard are good and I've been wanting to hit.

that Arles Blue SW belongs to my friend Silvia, she is super cool and wants to off road it. I am going to put together a Defender get together some night in the city. it would be awesome to see all the trucks lined up on the street... then maybe we go to Pines that night. email me if you want to get on the email list when i try to set up a get together.

If everyone is getting together for a drink or whatever one night I'd also be interested even though I don't own one. :-)

A few sightings in Des Moines area

Within the past two weeks, I saw a G4 disco with story county plates at the downtown farmers market as well as a Trek disco II in the roosevelt high school area. Anyone from this forum?

Also, Shawn Johnson (gymnist and DWTS champ) has been seen driving a new Range Rover

Eric-
I've seen the Trek truck a few times as well. I picked up a Jeep Unlimited in a moment of insanity thinking it would be more "practical" with the kids. I drove it twice and parked it in the shop. I have been in my D-90 ever since-L O V E the Defender!

Trading in the Jeep this weekend on a New Superduty-gotta have something to haul the Defender up to Marc W @ Singing Camel to have him work on it every once in awhile. Have you had your 90 out much?

Dave,

I drive the d90 all the time, not nessesarily a daily driver but still 4 or 5 days a week. I am taking her to a guy highly recommended by two local rover owners tomorrow to check out the slow radiator leak. His name is Ryan Miller. He used to work on rovers at european motorworks. Do you know him?

Eric

D90 Sighting

I saw a red D90 with Iowa plates passing through Denver on Saturday. The occupants snapped a picture of my D110. Looked like three women on board. The plates were something like DFNDR90. Is it owned by someone on here?

Eric-
Ryan is a great mechanic-I think he ended up with one of my old classics to boot! If you get a chance PM me his number-I have been taking my truck up to Marc, but it would be nice to have a local contact to do some of the small stuff. My guy here in Adel has backed off on a lot of projects due to health problems. Hopefully we can meet up somewhere this summer and do some off the beaten path drives!

Hey John,
Kieth armstrong might have gone to the Sollihull Society gig out there and I know his wife has a red defender.
If not them, I don't have a clue who it could be.
