Day 3 of the Vermont Overland Rally I slash a tire climbing a hill, 5" cut in the sidewall.
Swap to the spare, now running with no available spare. Call everywhere around, nobody has a 255/85/16 Km2 or any other brand/tire in that size.
After the next trail we're coming into a small town with no stores, on the side of the road a gorgeous black 110 SW is parked with a family outside. I pull over to comment on the truck as it was not a part of the VOT event. I notice the familiar tire size and ask about the size, 255/85 Km2. After a few Long Trail beers were donated I had a new spare to swap if needed. It just happened to be Josh S. (myoverlandrover on here) with his family.

Thanks a million Josh! Check your email soon
Great story... thank you for sharing. Nice to know 'good people' are still out there.

Not a problem! Generosity is handsomely rewarded as well, it's people like him that keep the Rover community a great place.

A shameful display of Boosts in SW7, London. They need an intervention.

I'm really moved by this story. I would think that you two were TRAVELING men exercising and extending the brotherly love as one is obligated to do so to the extent of his cable tow.

We saw that one parked in front of the Boone Chamber of Commerce last week.

There's irony in the fact that I'm not really a fan, but DID end up watching this last night (on palladium). While it really wasn't all that bad, there is absolutely no Defender in it at all (which maybe I'm thinking is the subconscious reason I sat through it to begin with).

That 110 belongs to a guy in Fair Haven - I have not met him yet but from the times I have seen it drive by it looks very good.

BTW - I met another one of your cousins today, haha He was doing my house inspection and asked about my 110 - it was crazy busy at the house with the kids so I was a little short - hope he wasn't thinking I was a jerk. He told me about your 130 and sounds like he was thinking of getting one.
