Anyone know what LR started doing (or not doing) differently to the metal in the 80's/90's??
The aluminum got noticeably thinner (hence the elbow dents on 90/110 fenders). The steel quality seems to have gone down as well. And once they stopped galvanizing the cappings it only made it worse.

But dont kid yourself, given a few NE winters series trucks rust too.

from an article on gawker about National Geographic Traveler's Best Photos of 2013

http://gizmodo.com/here-are-national...-of-1002461925

"Yanai Bonneh's third place winning photo is a reminder to keep all hands and feet inside the vehicle: "Cheetahs jumped on the vehicle of tourists in Masai Mara national park, Kenya."

And I wonder how hard it is to roll around under the truck on those stones, too. Can you see he has it propped back there behind the truck on the fence? Hahaha

Just saw a red 94 ST with a fiberglass top, no rear license plate at the San Diego airport.

Must of been an invasion on Saturday Bill. I saw this 1963 Series IIA at Buc-ee's while putting air in a tire.

Yeah the trailered on I say had come from Buc-ee's also...maybe we should just hang out there one saturday...lol. When the first opened I would see RRC's all the time over there...not so much anymore. I'm sure I'll see a few on our trip driving to Colorado.
