To bjf: This is a thread to share sightings. You have a pattern of insulting newcomers on this site trying to persuade people with limited postings (17) in 3 years to take your side. I took time out to read what people said to you in the past but yet you fail to change. Remember this Past posting to you?

"I think 99% of us really don't care if horsey gets a truck or not. If he does, great! If he doesn't, no worries. Its just the fact that in almost every thread, I have to read something that you posted about horsey that make no sense. That is what is annoying.

Lets say... he gets one... am I going to have to read a post by you about how he now owns one? I may have to kill myself then! Sure it was funny at first but now its just ridiculous. God forbid I had to come to this site and search "horse"

I could careless what car you show up in weather it is cardboard or not, as long as you like to talk about cars, drink a beer and are normal then that is fine with me. "

Please keep your postings reverent to the subject matter. You don't have to be negative all the time. thanks

Is this a joke? Who is bigkastle? I will say I am amazed that your posts are so irritating that people that never post have started to chime in.

Interesting. Buy it! Looks like it has a NAS B pillar and diagonals, a fiberglass side curtain, nice half drop curtain, maybe a NAS rear step bumper, etc.

Joshua, I've seen several NAS Defenders in St Barths. Martinique has the most Defenders of any island I've been to. Somewhere I've got photos of 90's, 110's, 130's, crewcabs and utility Defenders lined up at a dealership near Fort de France.

Just missed this one in the BVI. It sold already. http://bvinews.com/bvi/classifieds/show-ad/?id=3425/

It's totally irrational, but seeing a Defender coming out the back of a military cargo transport gives me that "everything is alright" feeling.

Yeah, I was talking about how that's a ROW truck with a tub set up for hoops, but appears to have a NAS B pillar and diagonals - although the B pillar doesn't have the side "horns" that would attach to the front A par portion of the NAS cage. It just looked like an interesting mix of parts - including what appeared to be a chopped up section of the old fiberglass hard top found on some NAS soft tops.

Josh,

I told Matt that it appeared to be one of the "Extrem" (Extreme) , Defenders built for the French Market. It is a factory built LR that has a rear bulkhead and utilizes the NAS B hoop and rear step bumper. Extrems were set-up to be Cabriolets and only meant to carry a driver and 1 passenger. The rear bed area was taken up by the convertible top when folded back. I have an old LR International magazine with an article featuring one of these trucks. Here's a link to one for sale in Belgium with the top on:

http://www.autoscout24.eu/Details.as...000000&asrc=st

Also, the LR fiberglass hardtops were sold to fit these and other trucks besides NAS 90's at the time as well. Tops sold in other markets simply didn't have the cutouts for connecting the A-hoop to B-hoop above and behind the doors.

Cool Matt! We went to St Barths for our honeymoon a few years ago and I found a bunch of rovers on the island. Don't remember posting any pictures though... here are some from 2009
