damn. The last time it had mileage reported was 2004 with 18k. I wonder if it was still really low. Looks like it was a Mantoloking truck.

Yeah I have seen at least two 90s there the past few weeks. Figured they were from Sandy.

I took a trip to Coney Island the day after Sandy and it was like driving off road. The water was high enough to enter the truck and I have a lift kit. The roads was covered with sand and it was ruff. These truck can take a beating.

From the waterlines, most visible on the blue one, it doesn't seem as though they were all that submerged.

Nah water barely reached the door bottom. Yet they were both totaled from what I heard.

I think lots of people will try and get out of trucks from the sandy zone ... Claim insurance and buy back seems a nice way to extract some cash especially if you intention is to keep it.

To be frank it can only help increase the value of vehicles with pristine titles!

State laws may require insurers to take title and salvage it.

I'm hanging out in the city all day from down town up to the UES & UWS and I don't see any Defenders. How do you see them in the city?

When I'm looking for D90's I always use a good synthetic bait. Just put a quart or two on any street corner...be careful they get aggressive when their hungry....
