I live by a similar proverb.

Spotted at VernonBlvd and 48th today in Long Island City on my way out to Dan's - blue D90 import with maybe Mach 5 rims and a nice front (Equipe?) bumper and skid plate.

I guess my time estimation was a bit off. I took that picture on the 14th. I waited to talk to them for a little while but no luck. Looks like they have been all over the place. I have seen several similar Defenders up here in AK this summer. Mainly from Germany. Just never was quick enough to get a picture.

Same one I spotted when I was there over New Years. I think it's sitting in the same spot, and that top still doesn't fit properly. Just imagine the nice salty breeze it gets all the time by sitting there. Haha

That badge in particular does look like a home brew (or, more accurately, they stamped it after a few brews).

For comparison here is another one. No clue why it is held on with screws.

I should have figured you were going to the Far Hills Race yesterday - first year I haven't gone since 2005 - great day for it, too!! Did you bring the D90?

Here are some of my pics from our plot from years past, there, and another pic of that Series I found online.

It was a perfect day. Lived in this area for over 7 years and this was the first year we have been. Now kind of kicking myself for missing out all this time.

I roamed most of the time. Ended up bumping into a lot of old friends. Plenty off good eat, drink and friendly social.

Left the d90 home and took a cab to and from. Decided that drinking took priority for my first time...but don't foresee my priorities changing next time either.
