My twins are up in Denver visiting Grandparents and friends for a bit. They just spotted this white hard top at Hampden and Colorado Blvd. I'm so proud of them for snapping a photo no matter how crummy.

So you can buy any truck you want...not bad man, not bad. Something tells me you may not be back for a LONG time.

I had heard rumors about it from some relatives about a truck like mine but that was made custom "twice as wide". I thought for certain they were confused and it was stretched longer - not wider. I figured they didn't know what they were talking about. Looks like I was wrong. Oh, so wrong.

Will investigate in the daylight.

A complete and total barf-o-rama.
I know this truck. Will be interesting to know if you get the same story I did about it many years ago.

What area of wv is your farm? We have a cabin near Fayetteville and a camp in the highlands.

The story the owner (or a previous owner) told my wife and I was that it was purchased at a us govt auction. It was an early 80's Land Rover prototype developed to compete for the business that AM General ended up winning with the Humvee. Land Rover basically took one of the early Defender prototypes and modified it to meet the army specs, the noticeable difference (width) was obvious. Auto-fill tires and other features were removed by this guy... Who I believe lived outside of pittsburgh.

My wife and I have often joked that the "double-wide defender" fit in perfectly in WV.

Stopped by but the guy Harvey (who owns the shop) wasnt around....I know they were gearing up for races so he may be gone today, but I'll try to catch up with him over the weekend.

In the meantime here's some other pics. Registered as a '93 interestingly enough:

RR Classic seats with auto box.
Reminds me of those series trucks the LR with flotation tires.
If I had to guess I'd say someone's personal modifications
