If you look in the window you can see what looks like temp tags that you get when purchased from a dealer.

That's exactly what I'm talking about... I think it's called a carport... (aka passport for cars) when you take your car to a foreign country and intend to drive it there temporarily, they issue this and you have to have it on the vehicle just like a temp tag.

At least that's what it looks like from what I can tell. Cool car though...

Upon landing a few days ago somewhere to work with some guys, I saw this colossal piece of awesomeness. I thought at first it might be a Wolf/XD, but it's actually something even more special.

airborne - I've seen that red NAS with the Thule rack around town. That Thule rack is a bitch to install so I remember them especially.

The Green UK one I've seen in Eatontown and Shrewsbury. Last I saw it, it had fresh springs and shocks and a little lift. Would love to cross paths with the guy and see/hear exactly what he's got.

Based on those Camel stickers, it looks like Mike Deery - "isleofbones" from Hicksville.

I applied one to the windshield like one displayed by one of the members. The other is applied to the front fender, aft of the front wheel arch, above my TDI brushed stainless badge. Looks great in my opinion.
Thanks Again,
Mike

Have you not seen the VW commercials? turning around and chasing the defender down for a picture should be well within the norm for a test drive.

Saw it from the back so can't speak to the rims...honestly didn't notice a rack, but I was driving someone else's car in traffic so tried not to be too distracted.

If it was my car I'd have stalked the owner immediately.
