Was it a soft top with a full cage/rack over the outside of the soft top?

If it was a bit rough, then I have seen this guy around town, and he left a note on my D's windshield after he bought it a year or so ago... I've got the note around somewhere w/ his email, but was a bad owner and didn't email him back.

Gotta love the small collection of business cards, receipts, napkins, etc that I've amassed with names, phone numbers and emails of people propositioning for the D90...

Yikes. Yet another one of those ugly trucks from that dealer down in Miami has made its way to NYC! They had another Japanese/Saudi spec truck in matte black; I wonder if it also made its way to NYC - that'd make it a shutout.

Spotted today at one of the local dealerships. Auto tranny, 4.6 motor, galvy chassis, metallic green paint, running a set of RRC three-spoke rims. Clean truck, though it was actually "lowered" a bit which looks odd on a 110 (or any Defender). Plans apparently are to put an Evoque interior into it (no, I'm not joking).

I think it is. Bob Rosenthal is about 75 years old and wanted these things done so he could drive it. The original 300tdi was not a good combo for a 75 year old guy.

If he is as much of a dbag as his company is, it doesn't surprise me he had it lowered.

No, they own the empty lot at the end of my street and have but nothing but u cooperative, antagonistic and purposefully obnoxious to the neighbors. They've cost all of us untold Hours, angst and stress. Our entire neighborhood has sworn not to buy from any rosenthal franchise.

Oh man - and I just historically hated them for my experience with their sales practices and loan rates. Sworn them off too.

if it is his truck... think about this: the guy who OWNS the franchise land rover dealership has an aftermarket company restore a land rover..... not his service shop that he owns.

this should tell everyone to stop using the franchise lr dealership for inspections and servicing. go out and find an independent rover guy near you.

more power to him having ECR do it.

Those guys don't even know really what a Defender is. They tried telling me there was a limited production run of a few hundred in the 80's, and then asked me if mine was from the 1970's.

That's about right. LR in Alexandria told the me the Red '94 I was test driving a few years back was only one of a handful in the US. It was extremely "rare."

2x. For starters, I never go to a dealer, but was in a bind needing a fuel filter a few weeks back. Land Rover Chantilly is 5 minutes from the office, stuck my head in, and the parts department didn't have much of a clue on where to start. No biggie, keep servicing the new stuff where people are inclined to stroke a $1,500 check for $250 worth of work and walk out happy if provided a 50 cent cup of java with a smile.
