The photo shop is just the text. I'm pretty sure the picture is real. My friend is a professional photographer and travels around the world for work. He has lived and traveled in India as well as many other developing countries. He just returned to the US and sent me this picture. He is a big Land Rover fan and has pictures of himself with rovers all around Africa and Asia. I think like most of us he is very sad about the state of the marque.

Hell, at least it is a coiler, well sort of! My Series III rebuild project looks a lot like that right now.

ADDED: As for the state of the marque, I don't see any blame that can be laid at Tata's feet. It is the product of the BMW and Ford corporate raiders.

At least Tata himself made a tour of US dealerships to establish a raport with us. THe Ford and Bimmer guys didn't care enough to do that. Tata has announced they are going ahead with the LRX and its 60 mpg hybrid technology. I don't see where the grief is coming from.
