Defender owner = Serial killer

A little trivia fact for your next party...

This last weekend my father and I took our 90's over to a farm near our house and met up with an owner of an NAS 110 (we were introduced by the mechanic who works on our trucks). We drove around his property for a while and had dinner at his restaurant.

During dinner, we started talking about how we got interested in our trucks, etc. He stated that by the time he found out about the 110, the 2 allocated to the Indy dealer were already spoken for, so he'd have to go the "used" route. Having never driven one, he asked the dealer to hook him up with the 2 local owners to check the trucks out, go for a drive, etc.

Well, the gentlemen he and his wife met up with to take pictures, drive the 110, etc. was Herb Baumeister. He said the guy was a little weird, jumpy, etc, but didn't think much about it at the time.

2 or 3 years later, it was discovered that Herb was a serial killer and had killed ~12 people around Indy.

So...one of you 110 owners is driving around in a possibly "Haunted" 110...

Gray market defender buyers are serial killers, they grind off the serial numbers all the time...

I don't think so, 23 was apparently a NM truck when new, and 24 has always been a CA truck.

Though 24's VIN ends in 666...

Woooooo, lets get out our ouija boards and freak out.

Ike makes sweet parts for series trucks.

Poor attempt at humour. IE IK going mad and killing folks, getting caught and sent to jail. But still having access to materials and being able to make parts...
