Defender destroys jeep in Jalopnik test ...

Jeep Wrangler Vs Land Rover Defender: The Real Deal Off-Road Showdown

I may have taken some poetic license with the title ...

That has nothing to do with Jalopnik. It is 4xoverland. A TV show in South Africa.

Seen that a few times. I love how he's like we didn't use the jeeps lockers because we wanted it to be fair.

If the jeep has em, use em! Shame on LR for not putting lockers in the defender. In my opinion there isn't a more capable off-roader you can buy off the showroom floor than the rubicon, and that includes abroad.

I think his conclusions are right. If you want to "off road" the Jeep is better. But if you want to get out and explore, you can't beat the Rover.

Check out his review of the Rover vs. the FJ70 Series.

Of course it did. A Defender 2.8i won the Atlantis Fun Day in 2013, followed by two Discos, a Jeep TJ in 4th, followed by two more Defenders.

Sway bar disconnect, D44 with lockers and transfercase is locked from factory but it is not full time 4wd. I do agree It sure is hard to beat from factory.

True. Also true is if we cared about owning the most logical/dependable choice we'd left Rovers long ago.
