Ok, "Defender's choice" beer, but close enough. Aparantly available at your local supermarket

What's considered "real beer" in the UK? Stella, Carlsberg, Heinie, Kronen 1664? That's all I saw people drinking over there. Inbev Euro piss lager. Oh, and Carling. Some people thought Stella was strong lager at 5% abv. They call it "wife beater" b/c it makes men go aggro. Inbev was so concerned with that rep that they released a 4% abv of Stella. I had to go hunt down real cask ale, camra.org helps out. No doubt its still there, just dwindiling No disrespect for the UK brewing tradition. They have given the world great ale styles like IPA, Bitter (ESB), brown ale, Russian Imperial Stout, wee heavies in Scotland, etc. My point is traditional brewing styles are being lost in the UK from the monster that is Inbev and watered down lager. While in the US, micro-brewing gains steam and market share every year, taking great brewing styles from the UK, Germany, Belgium, blending them, strengthening them, and IMO making them better. Our big three have had to take notice and attempt to get in the game, posing some beer as craft brewed. Anyone who says we don't have "real beer" hasn't tried any from our great small breweries, and they are everywhere. I've got 4 in an hour drive of my house, and I don't live in a major metro area. Think globally, drink locally.

The big three (AMC) want you get their beer cold, hides the adjunct (corn, rice) they put in there to cut cost.

Guinness is probably my favorite beer, although I do like it somewhat cold.

PS- so this "defender of choice" beer is intended for the pro-abortion set?
