Deer vs. P38...looks like we're getting a new Rover

http://www.discoweb.org/forums/showt...eferrerid=7512

Thought some of you may be interested in some P38/Deer Carnage...

Luckily, my fiancee was ok. She did the best she could with a buck in her lap. She walked away with only a scratch.

I was at our house just up the road and was able to be on scene within minutes. I wasted some diesel and about 1000 miles off my tires getting there.

everybody is fine, now we just need a new car.

That is insane. Did she hit it and it fly through the windshield?

It must have jumped right as she came in contact with it.

The pictures explain it all. The roof took most of the impact...what was left went through the windshield and came to rest in the passenger seat. The windshield wiper stalk ended up in the cargo area and the rearview was in the backseat.

You can actually see the dents from where the hooves skated across the hood...pretty wild.

Thank God she is fine and no one was in the passenger side.

Congrats on getting married.

Hope the deer's family doesn't press charges

It sucks about the P38 but on a plus note at least the deer died on impact. We had one come into a car near me a few years ago and it didn't die the driver was beat rather bad by the deer as it tried to get out.

Very lucky it's just vehicle damage. My friends father was killed by the buck's antler in a similar encounter.
