Dear friend passed

I don't know why I'm posting this here other then to vent some pain, but my dear friend and mentor Jack Davis lost his battle to pancreatic cancer tonight around 8:30. I learned a lot from him and is truly an old school wrench that lived a hard but fun life! I write this with mixed emotions partly selfish but mostly happy that he is in a better place. He will be missed but will live on in the hearts of those closest to him! You'll never forget the first time a man tells you to stick your finger in cylinder one while he turns the crank Well is it sucking or blowing??? Haha no comments Bill!!! Anyway, I'm a few whiskeys deep and just need to go to bed but this of for all those who have lost someone special to them that they truly miss!!

Boots and shorts! What a stud! I'm glad he lived a life worth celebrating and fond memories from his friends such as yourself. Sorry for your loss. Remember all the good and ridiculous as it's hard to laugh and be down at the same time. Plan "B" = Single Malt! All my best.

Brian, Very sorry for your loss in such a good close friend. I'm sure, as you think about him, you realize how thankful you are to have had him as a good buddy.

Thanks for posting this. It exposes the down to earth good we're lucky to have on the forum.

Take care
Clay

Well that sucks. Be glad you were able to enjoy his company while he was around, and learn a lot from him!
