Mike, how do you like those electric fans? Are they noisy, do they cool better than the viscs. fan? I like the idea of being able to switch them off.

Noisy yes, they make a bit of noise but it's only when your hood is open that your really hear it. I think they cool a ton bettter then an old clutch fan, but a new one, well I haven't tested that. I like being able to switch it on and off also, I also like all the room it gives you under the hood to work. It makes changing belts allot easier! Another plus is I can turn the fans on when the engine is off so I can cool the engine it its real hot.

Mike, did you notice any of the rumored power gain when you switched to electric fans? I could use a few more horses

I need to switch to electric fans that I can do that with as well. The one in our D90 sucks. We were starting to overheat wheeling on Sat and it was only in the mid 70's but I could tell the fan was not kicking on when the truck started heating up.
