Overbearing is one thing, letting the hormone infused, post pubescent young men who would not treat my daughter with the utmost respect that daddy don't play is another. That 16 year old girl who was raped by those football players while she was passed out drunk is a fathers worst nightmare. I would kill them. Letting my daughter know her father loves and cares for her safety is, I think, important. It is also important to let her friends/boyfriends know I care as well.

me lesson to you all you young ones....You can not maintain a harmonious relationship with your daughter (and wife) AND keep the little dicks out. So focus on scaring the shit out of the little romeos - while maintaining a nice, helpful, concerned and stern countenance with the family - they expect it.

Just be a wildman in the background.

One time in 9th grade I was invited over to the house of this girl i'd met. Parents weren't home, big house on park avenue, was great. Anyway, we start with the whole high school make out gig on the couch and then hands started wandering. Naturally my hand immediately heads south. After 5-10 minutes of this the front door flies open as her father comes home. We had about 7 seconds before he came around the corner from the entrance way (we were in the living room) and see what was going on.

She bolts for another room (she's not exactly in uniform anymore) and I sit like a scared idiot on the couch. He comes around the corner and i'm alone in this dudes living room, pale as could be. I can't stand up for obvious reasons so I can't properly introduce myself so I already look like an ass. He walks over and sticks his hand out for an introduction. Mind you I hadn't had a chance in those 8 seconds or so to wash my hands and I was completely trapped with no option so I reluctantly stuck my hand out and we shook hands long and hard. When prompted why my hands were "sweaty" I simply told him i'd come from bball practice.

I knew at that moment, all my children would be girls as life took revenge on me

I look at it this way...all I can do is give them the tool box and show them how to make the bird house. If they do a crappy job...well its out of my hands. They know how to shoot, live, survive, respect, love and learn.

They will make mistakes, and whats the sayin...Good experiance comes from bad mistakes!?! or something like that.

Or maybe not and go Daddymow's route and answer the door the proper way...

Haha so true. Funny how different the planning was, between the sexes. I would put together (what I thought were) bomb-proof plans. And girls would be like "hey, my dad is away for the day, come over" but what that really meant was "hey, my dad just went out for milk and will be back shortly. Come over but be ready to RUN!"

There are certainly some terrible guys out there, but all I remember as a kid from 6 or 7th grade on was that the girls were just as guilty as the guys...and although the teachers and fathers always wanted to think of the girls as little angels, that was rarely the case. I can't think of a single friend who tried to "corrupt" an innocent girl, just for the challenge. We were far too lazy.

Fathers should only be concerned with a few things:
1) make sure your daughter is the smartest - or as close to the top - student in her class. If she's not, she's already thinking about boys, girls, issues at home, sports, is already pregnant, etc. FAR too much.
2) older guys. On a grade-by-grade basis, girls and boys are weeded out and natural selection takes over. That means the date-able...date. One grade is usually OK because they co-mingle enough. But two grades (freshmen girls with junior guys) is just asking for trouble. There's too much experience that happens in those two years, and the only reason he's going after your daughter is because he has been deemed un-date-able by the girls in his own grade.
3) Track and Field. No one likes to run. Ever. The only reason guys and girls are on the track team in high school is because it is the most co-mingled sport there is among the sexes. Every girl I have known who participated in track has been boy crazy (and still is). Travel competitions with sleepovers should be your worst nightmare. Girls in track are usually also on the Winter swim team, which is the second-most commingled sport. Just sayin'

Ha-ha, very true! Girls don't think about exit strategies....ever....even when they're older. That's why they run up credit card bills with very little forsight on how they are going to pay them back

I can't think of a single friend who tried to "corrupt" an innocent girl, just for the challenge. We were far too lazy. Agreed! I remember my first....she was a grade younger than me and she had it planned for months how she was going to execute her plan. Definately all her idea. I was more interested in racing motocross and making money to pay for motocross and could care less about girls at 14-15.

Fathers should only be concerned with a few things:
1) make sure your daughter is the smartest - or as close to the top - student in her class. If she's not, she's already thinking about boys, girls, issues at home, sports, is already pregnant, etc. FAR too much. Hmmm, some of the sluttiest girls I know were absolutely brilliant. Maybe they weren't bad girls in H.S., but when college rolled around, the gloves came off.
Totally agree. However, girls do mature faster than guys and if a 15 or 16-yo girl is too smart or mature (and I don't mean mature sexually), they have nothing in common with boys of the same age bracket or even a grade above.
Just sayin' Yeah, I don't know about that. maybe true for the lower echelons of a team sport, but elite student atheletes put a lot of time into training and take it seriously. They don't have time to make poor choices. If I had daughters, my sole focus would be to keep them so busy with sports and/or other activities that they would not have time to hang out with the scheming sluts and make poor choices
....and with that I'm sure this thread is bound for the 'pit!~

Oh I absolutely agree (that wasn't a suggestion on how to ensure you don't raise a $lut). I think no matter if you're raising a guy or a girl, one of your main objectives during those years should be their education, and if they're not at or near the top, then there's usually a reason (or multiple) for it. You can be both smart and $lutty, but if you're only $lutty then it cuts down your potential significantly later on...

Also, re: sports. In baseball, our coach would not even allow girlfriends to show up to our games! Yes, when you talk about the participants who are really into their sport FOR the sport, then you should have less to worry about. It's the ones who join for the social aspect of it who you have to look out for.

I like the fact that the girls I date, I never ever have to meet their parents. 2 weeks ago I went out with a 21 year old from CSLB that I met at a club. Sucks her titties in my bentley, finger banged her, lifted her skirt up in the alley right by her house and played with her poon and ass right in public at 4am. (she rents a room from some guy) By the time they are 21 and trolling the clubs for sex, you don't have to worry so much about dealing with the parents. I got this other 24 year old that I mess around with that lives with her dad, (she called me last nite if I wanted to go out with her to costa mesa to some party) way I see it, she calls me I never call her so her dad can't blame me for his own daughter being a whore. Bottom line is when girls turn 21 and start hitting up Vegas and South Beach to get drunka nd party (or if they ever do if thats their thing) nothing can stop them from being sluts.

Right on! this thread was just BEGGING for Neil's input!
A total layup. The fact that you hadn't replied to this earlier mean't that you were "busy" with your sluts all weekend.

I'm guessing that Neil owes a heartfelt "thank you" to every absentee or shitty father responsible for the skanks he plays with!

Girls at clubs are good and well but if you want to get into some really dark/weird stuff.... Theater chicks all the way. Anything goes with them.

Just go to Winter Music conference in South Beach Miami florida or Vegas during any of the big hollidays, there are a ton of girls in their 20's who come to Vegas/Miami just to bone a stranger they find attractive that nite because not having sex during vacation for an attractive girl is like being left out for them. You just have to be careful of hookers (if it seems too good to be true it usually is) but hit up a lot of girls, you got a good chance especially if its Memorial day weekend. I've met 21 year olds to 27 year olds there. Last time I boned a girl, she came up to me I just took her to the room, she couldn't have been more than 22-25. Always remember theres a whore in every woman, you just have to get that at the right time. LOL I hate to admit this but one time I think 2 years ago I boned this 27 year old because she was all over me, she was a bartender at some crap place on Fremont street, the only thing I remember is her disgusting angel wing tatoos on her back and she had a sort of lazy eye. Other than that she was ok but man, I felt so ashamed. haha Oh and she was doing a lot of coke in my room. That part was scary.

Having lived in Vegas for almost 5 years, I can say with certainty that if your intention is to get laid, go out to the casinos/clubs at 3 or 4 in the morning. By that time, alcohol has pretty much taken over and out of town girls who came to party pretty much expects to get laid by that time.

I have a buddy out there who would actually get some sleep early at night so he can wake up fresh at 3:00 in the morning to hit the clubs! He said, Sunday night into Monday morning are the best nights for him since he get's a fresh batch of conference goers that want to "experience" Vegas!

It's almost like a rite of passage for tourists to hook up with someone/somehow when they're in Vegas... everyone has to abide by the "What happens in Vegas..." mantra.

Son of a bitch ... and I thought DEFENDER 90 was a brand name, not an acronym:

Daughters'
Emergency
Friends
Equiped with
Narly
Devices to
End
Relationships

I am seeing a new D-90 teeshirt: The Dad patrol with a D90 (even a pink panther) and the slogan
"No daughter left behind, no boy safe!"

What would your slogan be?

My 11 year old will be able to take care of herself as well, she shoots better than any of the boys in her class. And if a guy in a Rover (or Bently) by the name of Neil tries to pick up - she is trained what to do.
