Always snipe, always. It makes no sense to bid any other way.

Sometimes, if you listen carefully in the last few split seconds of an auction, you will hear the faintest rustling sound, and maybe even a tiny light breeze going by you. You may be distracted for a moment, and your eyes will return to the computer screen just in time to see the words come up..."You Have Been Outbid"...by the time you realize what has happened, it is too late and the auction has ended. It's over...and you have just met the "Parts Ninja"

I like www.gixen.com, its free , but for 5 bucks a year, will give you a mirror service, in case one of the servers is down, but be aware, once you start sniping, better be ready to buy, as I have won tons, that I really didn't expect to.

Don't pay for sniping software. jBidwatcher is open source and free and is awesome. Change the default settings to snipe within 5 seconds of the auction closing.

Brought in a sankey last October. Trailer was 50gbp. Seller delivered it to the container for me. Tub is rusty but the rest of the trailer is perfect. Rather than put the time, steel, welding wire, and argon into fixing it I have been looking for a tub. When this one arrives I'm (Trey's) going to blast it clean and having it hot dipped. These trailers are just frigging cool. They are so much more heavily built than an m416 its amazing. That said the m416 is a 1/4 ton trailer and the sankey is 3/4.

That is less cool of a plan than I was thinking, but makes sense.
