Dacono Colorado

Anyone on here from around there? I might be making a trip out soon, just looking for a few sights to fill in the gaps, thanks.

Sites in Dacono????

Umm I guess they have a home depot now...

Not much to see there you will have to head west , north or south about 40 mins to see anything.

Dacono.... Pretty much a truck stop and a few fast food places.

Mile High Shooting, a couple of miles to the west, is a cool place to check out...if you're into AI rifles.

Ha! Dacono, CO. My grandma had a trailer there for about 20 years. Trailer parks and truck stops.

On a related note, Dacono comes from the first two letters of founding women of the old coal mining town.

Funny, was in Dacono today. Raced the Can Am at the dirt bike track and shot at prairie varmints from the storage unit. Great place to get your inner hilljack on.

There's also an amazing stash of Series parts in a field out that way.

What do you want to see / do?

Lots of great stuff to do if you are willing to drive a little bit.

Boulder has a bunch of stuff to do, you are about 30 mins from Denver, you could go skiing or boarding, golden co is cool could take the coors tour, if you are into gambling you could go to Blackhawk, Estes Park / rocky mt national park is nice, lots of fishing to be done in the area.

We have so much to do around here let us know what you like and I am sure we can point you in the right direction.

Jerry D's is a great bar in Dacono. Right on Highway 52 about two miles east of I-25. You cant miss it. The Cheeseburgers are great. The Burritos are hotter than heck. Jerry is a character. If it is nice the outdoor patio is great. Other than that Dacono is a giant modular home community. But it is not getto like trailer parks.

Boulder is straight west with lots to do and see. Also lots of mico-breweries. Lots of hiking trails at the west end of town.

Longmont is northwest. Not much to see in Longmont other than the Pumphouse Brewery (restaurant).

Louisville is just southeast of Boulder and has a nice downtown. In Louisville, I would go to The Waterloo Ice House, Empire Room, or Lucky Pie (good pizza and beer selection). There is also a new brewery that just opened in Louisville, but I have not been there yet.

Wow, Jerry Ds is still there? I used to go there as a kid. I imagine business has picked up since the growth in the area.

The Shelby American Museum is in Gunbarrel (Boulder suburb). Kinda cool but only open on Saturdays:

Also, the EarthRoamer production facility/shop moved to Dacono a while back. You might be able to check that out.

When visiting the Shelby Museum also check out the Tasty Weasel tap room. It is not far away and good beer.
