Arrow d90 makes me ask this needed computer help question

Short while ago, I saw the "Spot the belly button" post. I followed that with a more attactive link to a post. To find that link, I did several searches on Yahoo, goggle, etc. WELL, I really caught it by the MRS!
Seems my computer setting for the auto complete funtion presented my wife with my searches of nude girls on cars, several other choice words, Zemanova (a web goddess who did a series on a Jeep ). The D90 gets a passing Sports Illustrated phot and the Jeep gets Zemanova. Totally unfair.
Pretty hard to explain the search to my wife, and not fully accepted . Although the Spot the belly button did freak her out).

So, does anyone know how to turn off the auto complete function. I have a windows XP based set up.

In the internet explorer window.... click

"internet options"

Toward the bottom of the "browsing" sections, you will see the option for autocomplete.

It's in IE, look at the top o da screen, hit tools, then Internet options, then the content tab, then hit Auto complete, then hit clear forms, clear passwords, and uncheck all the boxes. If you have the google task bar you also need to hit the google tab to the left of the search box and hit clear search history.
Don't forget to Search first then ask questions later! The loose nut behind the wheel

Or just delete your history. It won't auto-complete if the address isn't in history.

Listen to Patrick... IE is a pain the ass....
Download Firefox and first off she won't use it, and second... if you browse for 'whatever' and don't want her to see you don't have to go through 3 or 4 steps to clear the cache' and you just have to go to Tools, then click 'options' then click 'CLEAR ALL' and that wipes out everything. It also gives you more 'real estate' as we say in computer land, which is more 'actual' browser window room.
