D90 for sale/trade

Okay, I'm putting this in Misc. Chit-Chat because I haven't made a final decision yet and would like to open a dialogue to see if what I'm considering is even a possibility.
For some time now, I've been thinking about selling my SW D90 and going back to a soft top model.
Now that we have the Range Rover, the SW doesn't get used and I hate seeing it sit. Since I no longer need it for a daily driver, I'd like to move into a vehicle that I could use for more off road/ less on.
I know I can build up my SW, but truthfully, I think it's too nice to use for the kind of wheeling I'd like to do more of, and really miss driving an open top vehicle in the nice Colorado climate.
Before I make a move on this I'd just like to put this out to my friends here and see what, if any interest there is.

Is there anyone out there who's been considering going the other way (ST to SW) and would consider a trade + $ for my '97 Defender SW?

My only requirement is that I want a vehicle with a manual transmission (preferably R380) and good service history. In this case the more mods you have the better - unlike a new buyer, I know the value of a D90 with "stuff"
Other than that I'm pretty open and will consider just about anything out there although some colors are more desirable than others.

If I do pull the trigger on this, and there is no interest in a trade, I'll most likely be pulling most of my mods off before I list the vehicle for sale. I'll be sure to advertise here first if that happens.

For more info on the vehicle, check out my bio here: Art Vigil
Thanks,

Cool Av D90

Art I am gonna send this thread over to my dad. He got me my Defender 90 ST last July and has really been talking about the SW...He likes them more than the ST but then doesn't, if that makes any sense...Don't really know the interest level he may have, probably not much right now, but as I have noticed sometimes vehicles are on D-90.com for a long time before they sell....I am not interested in trading my ST just because thats my baby but ill forward the thread to him and see if hes interested....Just thought i would let you know.....Not going to make promises as it seems like you are not really sure if you are giong to let it go either.....

If I had any $$ I would possibly consider it if you were looking for a yellow one.

I'm not a huge fan of AA, but I do like how you've got yours set up.

Hmmm, I'll think about it Chris Thanks for the offer.
Now if Cliff or Jorge were interested, we might have to talk...

Actually no. I just really like the way those two are set up. I wouldn't have to change anything

I am a bit surprised there isn't anyone out there interested in getting into a SW.
I guess all you ST guys are happy with your vehicles. I can't say I blame you.

Regards,

Art (moving on to plan B)

Been thinking about a SW. It would be hard to give up the ST though.

That is so true. I would love to have a SW, especially now that NJ winter is in the horizon. But if I do that, I would be kicking myself in the spring/summer.

No he didn't try, he actually did make his ST a SW, and he changed it back because it felt top heavy. Not because he missed the ST.

Oh and to give all the SW guys some ammo to fight back with, anyone afraid of mud is a wussy

Hey Art, what colors are you looking for and whats "Plan B"?
