With regardto the bubble,
does anyone track prices on the D90? I once - 4 yrs ago - asked a car salesman friend to go to Edmunds.com, KBB.com, and some other pay per view site to get an idea. No listing as the moved vehicle numbers were to low.
Someone must track this, oh and be willing to share (not Copely, LR4sale,etc... since it is a business)

I can first hand relay the facts on #300/300. I sold the Defender brand new in November of 2003. Quite and honor really, selling the last New Defender in the US. The company I work for owns 4 Land Rover centres. We recieved #300 new to our Land Rover Asheville Centre in 1997. Our owner decided he did not want to sell the vehicle so it went in to storage and only came out for show every now and then. Remember that at the end of 2003 there was a special vehicle on display at SEMA......."CKD" ring a bell? Any how our owner decided to part with the vehicle. At the time it was on display at our Land Rover Hilton Head facility. Interesting thing was, we had a letter from Land Rover North America stating that the warranty on #300 wouldn't go into effect until we sold the vehicle. That's what made, and makes, it unique in my mind, let alone that it was the last one brought in. It is the only D-90 I know of out there that is under full factory warranty. Any way, I will say that it has changed hands half a dozen times in the last year, having gone through 2 independent Land Rover retailers, and several private owners. I have a complete photo record of the truck, inside and out, before it left our Centre. Quite an amazing vehicle. Would loved to have owned her myself, but aside from not having the dough, I'm a sucker for a Soft Top.

Will, my D-90 originally came from your neck of the woods, 1994 #1592. I bought it off a kid who bought it from Landrover Buckhead, a dealer (1st owner traded it in or so I was told).

And I got it wrong in my earlier post. I did get a pricing off edmunds.com - I kept all the paperwork for some weird reason. So... in July 2001 Edmunds had a 1994 D-90 with 58k miles, being sold in New Jersey (a $400 price negative it seemed): trade in $20k, private sell $22k and dealer $25.5k.
Condition (rough clean outstanding) did not alter the price.

Hey Jason,

Yep I used to work @ Land Rover Asheville. I lived there for 2 years. I have actually worked for all 4 of our company's stores (Greenville, Asheville, Columbia, and now Hilton Head). As I remember I think you bought your D-90 through Kevin in Asheville, who's a good friend of mine. You'r D-90 used to belong the the CEO of Winn-Dixie, though he never really drove it.

Paul,

Interesting on your D-90 being from Georgia. We neighbor the Atlanta stores and work with them pretty regularly. They really don't carry D-90's any more though. Seems sometimes that we are the only Land Rover Centre/Group that tries to carry them at all! We usually have between 6-7 Defenders in stock at any given time.
