D110 rim size?

What size are the NAS 110 rims? I have a set of 4 coming with tires and I want to be able to get a spare. Is it the same size as any Series or Defender 16" steel rim? I believe they are different than the Disco steelie, correct? Also, I have heard mention they are beadless, or some such? Does this mean you can not air down a 110 steelie at all? Sorry for such newb questions. Thanks for the help. -Robbie

I just looked at some 110 o.e wheels last week in Leadville wheee

The markings said 6 1/2 x 16 x 20.6 ( that's the offset, right?)

You need to run tubes with 110 NAS rims. They are 6.5in wide (you measure on the inside of the bead). They are unsafe without tubes, but some people still run them without tubes. If you do, in addition to being unsafe, they will unseat easily offroad.

I have a full set of Disco steelies (all were spares, some never used). I know you don't want to ship but maybe we can "relay" them.... I'm heading to Paragon on the 13th and Roversclub Swap meet on the 20th (also PA). Maybe we know someone that can help us transport the rims?

that'd be great John. love to take them off your hands. Man, just checked and it's about 3.5 hours up to Paragon, so a bit of a drive for me just to pick up the wheels. but if someone would be willing to transport them down this way, that would be great. I'd pay them for their effort and pick up from their place so they don't need to deliver. let me know who might be coming up from my area and I can ask. anywhere in DC/VA/MD area is fine. my email is rbd4a@yahoo.com if you wouldn't mind taking it to email. thanks John.

I've had NAS 110 rims on my 90 for almost 5 years now running local pay to play mud slop to driving cross country for the Rubicon. No problems with them unseating ever. I have a friend who has them on a Disco with the same trail usage and he hasn't had an issue either. Smear a little silicon sealer on the internal rivet areas if your worried about the leaking, the offset is nice too.

Like I said some run them without tubes.

Your call.

I have some series rims that are similar and ran them without tubes and only one blew and it was a pretty hard hit, but clearly they are designed for tubes.

They are nice wheels, also no reason not to run tubes, they are cheap and can stand low pressures. You should be able to find tubes to fit almost any size tire that would fit on that rim.

Hey Dave,
We went last summer, planning on going back out next year. The ST to SW is still on the to-do list...
a RRC project got in the way.

when you do decide to head back out, give me a shout if you don't mind another truck tagging along; or, even to hang in Cali if you stop off in LA.
