If you read the book, you'll be pleased with the movie. If you haven't, I suggest you hurry up and read the book first.

No doubt they used a D110 as they couldnt find a Range Rover with "polypropylene" headlamps.....

I just saw "The Muse" with Sharon Stone. About 3/4's of the way through it, you catch a glimpse of a red 90 sitting in traffic on the freeway. That is probably the only reason to watch this movie, FYI.

"Duma", a movie about an African farm family that adopts a cheetah, has lots of great footage of a new Defender 110 crew cab. Interior shots, driving shots, desert off-road shots. The truck is the family's main vehicle, followed by a Porche Speedster and a BMW boxer with side-car. Fun film, btw.

Went to see the new Superman today and there was a preview for some high school comedy about some guy"must die" I don't remember the full title but the last words were "must die". As part of the preview there are 2 girls making out in a red D90.

The movie is "John Tucker Must Die". the trailer is here:

http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/jo...tdie/trailerb/

Living in the Hollywood area I'm surprised that I haven't seen that truck around. I know of two red soft tops in the area, but neither of them has had the fiberglass top installed.

Then again, I'm assuming the movie was shot in LA....

I would have lent them my truck for a scene like that, gratis! According to MovieInsider.com, it was filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Official movie page, looks funny

Stuck at the airport, flight delay due to bad weather in Cincinnati , decide to watch the movie "John Tucker must Die". The Monza Red 94 Defender has aftermarket seats that I couldn't identify, along with SafariGard front, rear bumpers and rock sliders. Factory top and no rear seat(s).

There was a scene in the movie near the end where 'John Tucker' has the 90 at his birthday party, high school kids are sitting all over the truck...the bonnet. I was just cringing the whole time. I know now that if ever I'm asked about the use of my 90 for a movie or whatever, I'm going to need to know in detail what the plans are.

There were series trucks all over in The Last King of Scotland.

I loved the movie too, but seeing land rovers always makes a movie entertaining.

I'm a pretty big guy and I walk and sit on the hood of mine all the time. So to me a couple of kids sitting on it not a big deal. Oh was the movie any good?

The movie was weak, however the eye candy and seeing the Defender made it worth watching...atleast sped up.

"John Tucker Must Die" Teenage chick flick. New release (kinda). Daughter made me watch it. The rich kid, jock, getting all the action has a red D-90 ST. See it quite a bit.

TDI 110's

Some neat footage of a pair of 110's (one below) in ROAM, which is a pretty cool MTB flick. I think they're in Morocco IIRC.

Not a movie...but I saw an Arles Blue SW on a Farmer's Insurance commercial last night during "Nightline". I think it was for disaster insurance. Some guy lost his house and is seen brushing his teeth in the side view mirror of the truck (I think this was supposed to be funny). Random that they would use a D90...probably it belonged to the director or something.

Saw this movie on a flight, "The Queen" I think it was called about the Queen of England etc...many many Defender 110s roaming the countryside and the royal family has a collection of them. If you need a Defender fix, this is the movie to see.

One memorable scene where the Queen driving the green 110 by herself gets it stuck crossing a stream and has to call on of her staff for assistance...

My brother has had that DVD for a while. Pretty awesome. It even made a viewers choice award at Banff Film Festival this year. Felt cheated when they played the segment at the showing here in Austin since both my brother and I had seen the whole thing.

Great DVD for MTB fans.

Just saw what I believe to be a bunch of 110s in a Tanqueray commercial with Tony Sinclair

I just saw a commercial for Foster Grant glasses that featured a white NAS Defender 110. It was on Foodtv during Good Eats.
