Fun reading the updates, keep them coming. What happened to the stop in Chicago?
Try to take that picture of four birds when crossing the Mississippi River. LOL

I don't know why someone would do that, but its for cooling purposes I guess. I already bought a hood to replace it, I just need to get it painted.

We decided to do a more southern route due to the likely bad weather in the north. Instead of spending extra time in Chicago we decided to do two nights in Seattle and two nights in Nashville.

Mississippi

Any updated pictures here with four hipsters crossing the Mississippi?

Some retro Ray-Bans in a rear view will satisfy the bet.

Yesterday we drove to Nashville to stay with a family friend of mine. Today we went out for tacos...

After getting tacos we went to Broadway to see what America tastes like...

We soon realised that we stood out with our tight clothes, so we bought some accessories so that we could fit in better.

This is LOL. I am glad you are enjoying it!

Much better than me and Mike in flannel with me trying to sleep with Morman girls.

Jimmy! If you are still in Nashville go to Jamaicaway. Incredibly good Jamaican food. Also you MUST try Prince's Hot Chicken Shack!!! Do not leave until you have.

Ok here's a challenge, ....It wouldn't be a complete trip in a Land Rover unless you encountered some kind of wildlife.
I let your imagination work with that one.

We made it back to Richmond last night after a long drive from Nashville. Here are a few pictures I forgot to post on Friday of a tractor trailer running into a bridge in Nashville. Right after we passed, another tractor trailer did the same thing in the other lane!

The drive from Nashville was mostly uneventful. We had to pull over for the first time because of a burning smell, which smelled like a burnt clutch or brake pad. Fortunately it must have been coming from another vehicle. We ended up stopping in Knoxville for lunch at a Cookout because the hotdog place we wanted to go to was closed. After that it was smooth sailing back to Richmond. Here are the rest of the pictures we took, which are mostly between Knoxville, Tn and Roanoke, Va.

My overall observation of America is that most people live in trailers and a lot of the country smells like a port-a-potty. I'm impressed that the truck made it without a single problem. I thought for sure that the truck would leave us stranded at some point. I didn't even need to use the Jerry can once. Thanks to everyone who offered to help us along the way, I'm glad I didn't have to get the truck towed to someones house. A big thanks to Lane for letting me use his garage. This trip has been a great adventure. I think the next trip will need to be across Europe in a 1,000 Defender.

Cheers,
Jimmy
