'shipped over from ROMANIA' - IMHO it should be sent back!

I wish I could spell as well as the vendor ...

Wow, do you want your kid running around in a thrown together POS, my son bought a 97 4runner for way cheaper than that, and in way better condition.

Wow.. Have you seen it up close to make such an assessment... wow a 97 4runner is such an awesome vehicle i wish I had one like 10 million other people... Ill bet the dam pos as quoted by you is probably more reliable than some of the rovers that I've owned...

+1. The ARO looks like it is all business. Though most people seem happy with toyotas in general too, they are a bit more multipurpose whereas the ARO looks meant to compete with the likes of LR, Santana, and others. Couldn't find much info on them. Cool truck but good luck getting parts.

First off, uniqueness isnt why you a 97 4runner, its a Toyota you buy it for reliability. And out of my Land rover's the only one ive ever had an issue with was the freelander. If that was that more reliable it would be the military and safari vehicle of choice.

Look up ARO. they are straight shit. No questions asked.

Also ARO soon became the company know as Crossland(er) IIRC. Who utterly FAILED (2002..?) when attempting to make a leap into the American motor market.

This thing has been on craigslist all over the US since about 2007. I constantly keep seeing threads about it, and it's always the same CL ad +/- a few words or names (ford, land rover, mercedes etc..) search on Dweb for more info on how much crap they are, or LRRF for the matter.

I would buy a 97 4runner without axels for 5K more then I would ever pay for that ARO POS.

Trust me I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Agreed we all like Land Rovers some are obsessed with there D90s like I am and all are elitist snobs......

If I listened to all the negative crap about Land Rovers or could not fix anything on them I would have never bought one more less the 3 I've owned... Based on this add I think it might be a good starter 4x4 suv... as advertised a all Ford drivetrain? Is that stock or upgrade or ?????...

I may call him up and go take a look at it tomorrow if the weather is too shitty to work ouside.... Its about 1/2 hour from me

IME all the Craigs list adds ive checked inot 99% of them were crap, and this most likey is a rusted POS

PS not trying to pick a fight on the Toy Runner, If I did not have my 90 I would be sporting a new Tundra and be $$$ ahead... But then I would have to spend all my extra time with the wife and that would be bad for my sanity....

if it has an all ford driveline, it'll be dependable for a kid, and something unique. (my first rig was a beat up 75 firebird. i learned to wrench) hows the body? so what. it aint like a defenders interior quality is confused with a lexus or anything... exactly how much worse can an aro be, if everything that moves is ford... hell, i was trying to come up with a way to use a 302 in the d110 till ecr mike talked me out of it. (he said 460 or nothin.... )
