Cool SD images

Being tied in with SD now means some cool insider images.
More to come that will go up on the ECR web site, but here are some development shots of the first NAS 90 and NAS 110 cages.
Enjoy

Are they planning on selling rollbar pads for that D90 cage?

No, these are old photos from 1992
I just thought they were cool because they show the NAS cars before there ever were any NAS cars.

Have to admit I don't even know what a Defender SV is.
I know what a Defender SVX was, but that came later.

What you are looking at are photos taken during Safety Devices development of the original 1993 NAS 110 cage and the 1994 NAS 90 cage. Past that I know nothing other than I thought they were cool.

It is funny you post that yellow cage without foam, because I have a book with a picture from a land rover brochure of a 1994 D90 without foam on the B pillar hoop.

Defender 90 SV info

http://www.defender90sv.co.uk/forum/

Basically a RHD NAS D90 with a 200tdi RRC wheels and baby tires made in 1992/93 for the UK market.

This is the first NAS 90, with the pattern shell behind it.

These are very cool. Did they do any kind of crash or roll over testing with them?

I'm not sure if LR or SD did but i did a nice test a few years ago ... It rolls over just fine at 50mph on I15... And only cost 19K to fix it back up....

I wonder how many SVs were made. Because that's another pool of NAS ST cage parts then.

No, they are gone forever.
Read the "SD its official" thread, I explain what happened.

They all were the same colour, a kid of metallic blue/green (similar to the 50th aniversarry D90's)

A couple of my friends have them... well, one now doesn't as it burnt out a while back. dodgy aftermarket electrics

I have seen one original NAS 90 with that set up. 2 tanks. It was a very early 1994.
