cool custom boat trailer

A buddy and I went out fishing with a Tarpon guide in FL a few days back and I thought I would share the pic of his custom boat trailer. The tail lights are mounted on the wheel well and out of the way from getting clipped i.e. instead of hanging off the end of the trailer frame which is a location where boat trailer lights often get smashed. The plate mounted on the wheel well for the same reason.

Had the same idea for my M416 trailer. Just not sure of legality of not having the lights at the rear.

You can get those light guards as bolt-ons. There are a few different ones. Load-rite makes some. It's also a step.
I have my lights on the side guides, which is about the most dumb-a$$ place for them cz I whack them every other time I back the boat into the barn. I will prolly move them down to something like this and ditch the side guides. They are really really useless. PO put them on.
