Cool 110 spotted in NJ

I posted about this in the "spotted" thread, but I think it deserves its own mention. Anyone here?

It wouldn't be my first (or 10th) choice, but I like the way the truck is set up, beyond the aesthetics issue.

not sure how I feel about it. It's not a beach runner so no cage. Seems like a dumb idea. Maybe I just can't get past the color

Customer had specific ideas about what he wanted.
The rear had to be completely open (fun for the kids) and the front had to be completely covered (wife). It also had to be easy to swap back to a full hard top wagon for winters in NJ.
The truck was already that color and Badger did soft trim work on the top.

Having checked it out in person I think it's a good dual purpose vehicle for this area.

no questioning the quality. The color though is rough.

No worries. I didn't take it like that.
I was just letting you know there was method to the customer's madness.

Never been a fan of tan tops myself either.

I like the approach to satisfying the need to have an easy to remove/replace hard top, but also keep it open in the summer!

I see that rig at the soccer fields as his son and my oldest play on the same team for park and rec. Real nice guy although the times we do talk it's more about the soccer match than Defenders. It's a nicely built rig (I know, duh, ECR built it) and I think in person the color looks pretty good. There are a number of NAS 90's (in every color) and 110's and some a couple of 25 year old 110's now in town and I think this color sets it apart and is unique.

I only wish that with all the Defenders in town that at least one of them would be interested in going off road or at the very least do some wrenching with

I'd be up for a wrench session. What about rover owners meeting up in Red Bank or else where, early saturday or sunday morning?
