Conniston Green 280sl 1969

Thoughts and maybe some pics of some Conniston Green 90's.

Must sell the color to the Old Man!

New project is a 280sl, my Dad always wanted one, and he's bankrolling the project.
He wants green and the Benz greens aren't really what I'm looking for.
Not all that concerned about originality, its being done with some mods anyway. It came with a 280se motor.
I just thought it would be a cool way of giving it a bit of Rover flavor!
I already tried the ST rollbar, it was a NoGo, so its rover green.
Thanks

I think you should stick with the Mercedes green and do a saddle colored interior, tan loop carpet and light oak twillfast top. I am also a Mercedes interior specialist.

Yes, mercedes green from the 70s and 80s is quite nice and suits the cars. There is a two door late 70s early 80s 300CD running around here that is really cheery.

I want to do up an old German car but I'm partial to the BMW 2002s in Tii trim. I want the 74 model since it was the year I was born. I want it in competition orange. I have had strange dreams about a blueprinted four banger.

Mercedes made a very nice non metallic dark green that is very close to Conniston. I had a '79 450SL in that color back in the day and it looked fantastic. It was a pretty rare color for that car, but was original.

That is the color of the 300CD near me. If I see it, I will snap a cell phone picture. I bet it is in the garage for the winter though.

Its an auto, the carpet was brown, so thats what I replaced it with. I thought the lighter carpet would get way to dirty(in a bad way)
It does have the tan(bamboo) interior.
I went black top, dirtiness
There are two greens I was trying to choose from,
Dark green, which I don't like
and
Dark olive which is almost black.
I actually got cans of each from Tower to test them.

I like the first, it reminds me of agave green in BMW.

Great cars Brian. I actually sold my '68 Euro model 280SL with a 4 speed man. to buy the Rover back in '94. Don't regret the trade, but miss the car
