Confusing 110 Sighting

So I was at the stealership this morning to get the hood release fixed. I didn't want to go there but they had a spot so I took it. At any rate this is the LR Center in Gwinnett Georgia. They have always had a 110 out front but its never for sale b/c it belongs to the owner. I look at its ID plate on the back and it says LRNA/1. Now I think all the IDs are out of 500 (ie 1/500). I have read the LRNA denotes a prototype. Is this true? On ECR they have the first (1/500) and a prototype. The manager at the dealership said its the first one of 500 not a prototype. So which is correct, or is it a rover numbering mistake? Below are the links for the 1/500 and one of the prototypes.

I would be leary of basing to much on what he said. Managers are there to run a dealership, not be collector car specialists. Who knows, but keep in mind, it's only a plate, not a VIN. Were I in the market for something with a notable history, my preference would be to not rely on some easily modified name plate.

Well if the plate is true to form it looks like that they have the very first 110 of the prototype batch. Its too bad, they said it only gets driven once a year for one of the events the dealership holds. It only had something like 30k miles. Wonder if the owner is privy to how much it potentially could be worth.

I have seen aone of the Canadian ones at one time. It was numbered CND-5. The really strange thing about the CND one was that it had a Series style frontwindscreen and roof top which is flat and lower on top. IT was completely original too. I spoke with the original owner about it and he never even noticed it. I don't recall if it was a split window or one solid piece of glass though I think it was one solid piece.

Land Rover UK hasn't made a split windscreen LWB since 1982, so I would think it would have to be just like all the other Defenders and Land Rover 110/90's unless they found some left over parts in a bin

Well I know for sure it was the square style series windscreen that was painted white. I saw it with my own eyes. I thought it was strange at first but with LR who knows...

Randy, it probably fell off the truck, so they had to quick fab up a new roof and windscreen!

Randy, is that the one at Vinny's about a year or two ago? If it is, I saw it too, I think it had the 2 layered roof...no?

I know the "series/110" that you are speaking of....if it helps to clear it up, I looked at it when it was for sale in New Jersey some time back and it has a Salvage title. Apparently is was rolled over, and the roof is not original.
