colorado shop help

My wife works with a gal who's son is attending Colorado School of Mines. He is having some problems with his je#p. He took it to a dealer and they didn't fix the problem. Do any of you have a recommendation for an independent shop that he could go to? I believe he is having problems with his suspension but that sort of info is not what my wife paid attention to.

I don't know about the brakes, only their unreliability.

I'm assuming Golden since that is where Mines is located.

Indeed, and he's doing some very cool stuff out there.

Finially heard back from the mom of this kid and apperently he had new shocks, and sway bar put in. He has larger tires don't know if they were new also. Anyway he can't go over 45 with our the truck wobbeling.

I gave them John Putnins name. Any others they could consider or is he the best?

Thanks

I know John and consider him a friend. He is also my go to mechanic.

With that said if the kid is having a hard time driving this vehicle he may have luck going to a place like 4 Wheel Parts wholesalers at 74th and Federal in Westminster. It is closer to Golden and they sell and install suspension lifts etc. Lot of Jeep work. However, I cannot comment on their quality or know how other they put a set of tires on my D about 10 years ago.

Have him spend a few minutes reviewing the Jeep death wobble fixes on YouTube:

I heard John is great as well. Another person I HIGHLY recommend, although not sure he works on Jeeps, is Brian Williams at British 4x4 ltd. 720-440-2748, brian@myrovertech.com He is amazing. We were just at the rally and my buddies water pump on his DII let go on Saturday in Glenwood Springs. Brian waited for us to arrive with the tow truck at 10:30 at night in Denver. He jumped on it and had it fixed by 12:30 a.m. for a very reasonable price. Cannot say enough great things about him and his shop.
So now you have two great options.
