Colorado People - HELP

Non-Rover-related, but I figured I'd give it a try. My middle older brother (36 yo.) will be heading out to Colorado next month to tour around a bit, ski a bunch, and play music at night to break even.

Looking for suggestions of places he can call, send samples, and see if they would be interested in having him play for some $$, etc. He was figuring dinner places that take musicians, some bars that feature music regularly, and would really like ski resorts.

He'll be bringing his guitar, and probably a set of harmonicas. I know this will sound funny, but he actually sounds a whole lot like a young Gregg Allman...no lie. He's sharpening up his John Denver skills for Colorado, but he also plays Jazz, classic rock-ish stuff, Bluegrass, etc.

He lives in Asheville, NC right now, but will be out in Colorado for probably a month or so starting next month.

Thanks anyone for some suggestions.

In breckenridge there is an Irish pub (the Irish cottage?) that had live acoustic music all the time. Might want to check them out (970-453-1181)

Cool. Thanks! Yeah, looking for places where people have been out there and heard good music so that I can pass along for him. He lost his job a few months back as a green builder, so playing music has been how he's been making ends meet, and he still wants to go ski, etc.

If he hits Vail/Beaver Creek have him get in contact with me and I can give him some dirt on the valley.

If he's passing through Des Moines, have him try the El Bait Shop. They always seem to have musicians perform that are passing through.

He should get a balloon and play his music while floating over fort collins. College students can throw change at him.
