Flood Damage parts only?

Does that mean it can't be re-built?

it looks like they paid out $67,*** in Actual Cash Value (ACV), so that's nice to see that they didn't pull some sh*t saying it was worth $10,000 to the insured!

Looks nice. Hope it goes to a good home and not butchered into an ECR BR-*.

Saw that. Worrisome. Here is the state's salvage title review.

A defender is the only vehicle I would consider buying as a flood victim. Still, would need a title for any real value.

Agreed. Give it a good wash and dry, change all the fluids, some dielectric grease in all the connectors, maybe a new engine ECU, and you're on the road!

Per Colorado law, it CANNOT BE TITLED again in any state. May be used for parts only. See link below for your own personal verification (see article bottom of page 3, heading "Investigation Insight" by Supervisor Investigator Mary Marvin "Junk vs. Salvage"):

http://www.colorado.gov/cs/Satellite...&ssbinary=true

However, I'm sure this won't stop some ignorant individual from paying stupid money for it.

Truck was in Salina. For some reason I think John at Automotive Alchemy knows it, but I could be wrong. I used to see it heading up the hill to Nederland all the time. It was a nice clean truck.

Not exactly. Look up "Rebuilder's Title" in the Colorado code. It can be reborn.

I posted this on Facebook and got this response,

"JoDee McKenney: I know this truck. And I can tell you right now that it needs a new frame, besides all the other work to restore it from the flood."

If you could get this for a low price, who cares about the title. Sometimes people buy a vehicle to keep forever because it is their dream truck.

Plenty of us here have dealer buddies and we all know there are dealers on this forum. Someone needs to grab this to preserve a piece of history. If it weren't for the wrath of my wife, I'd be heading to Colorado soon
