Cigars and Defenders

I had almost thrown out my latest www.jrcigar.com catalog but decided to flip through it to see if there might be some good deals. To my surprise one of the deals is a buy a box of Montecristos and receive a free Defender 110 die-cast scale model. It looks pretty cool in the catalog. On the website the offer says it's a Land Rover 101 but it's a 110. Just thought I'd pass it on for all the toy geeks out there

Click on "Latest Deals" and you can see a picture of it.

that model looks exactly like a 110 that was fro sale on eBay last year.
From the Hella HIDs to the animal pics on the sides.

I remember it was for sale at a West Palm Beach dealer.

You can spend only $12 on the cigars and get the 110.

There was a 110 for sale on ebay just painted just like that truck with the montecristo symbol and african paint job a while back, not sure if anyone else saw it but I thought it would be a great truck given my penchant for churchills.

Okay, Okay... Not a smoker (Cigar or otherwise), but interested in the 110 model. What is the minimum to order to get the 110 (anyone have a item # or something to help make this simple for me)? Anyone know anything about the 100 model. Scale/plastic/metal, etc? THanks..

Yes, I now notice that. I did it online and I bought a lighter too, but it was only $12 for the cigars to get the truck. I am sure you can find something on there for $3 chris. Get me the $10 "cigar II" lighter and I will send you the money for it if you want.

Ron

http://www.jrcigar.com/index.cfm?pag...isto%20afrique

scroll down to the one that is $12 and still says you get a free rover.

http://www.jrcigar.com/index.cfm?pag...itemcode=MXAM4

and then you have to add another $3 so buy a lighter or something (cheap imitation zippo for $3.95)

http://www.jrcigar.com/index.cfm?pag...42113&type=SMA

or a cooler one, the "cigar II" for $10

http://www.jrcigar.com/index.cfm?pag...3TOR2&type=SMA

Then checkout.

Ron

I already ordered 2 of the $12 bundles. This way I'm getting 2 of the 110s.

Excellent find! I don't smoke, but my fly fishing buddy does. Guess he's getting a Christmas present today and I get a 110!

Thanks for the tip. just order the $12 job, and hope the loophole is honored by them. I'm sure the defender linked to this order was an error.

As cigars is one of my favorite pastimes, this is a double bonus. I just smoked the last of my fatties, so now I have something to fill my humidor back up! Thanks D-90!

They are pretty stand up folks at JR. Error or not I am sure you will get the 110. It is probably just a small model, but cool none the less.

Ron

PS maybe I can get in one last foursome on the links before the snow.

I just got mine today. It's an awesome model; about 10" long. JR honored the deal.

4 Cigars - $12
1 cigar ashtray - $4.95
Free Defender - Priceless
