I don't know if it was en error or not, but it still comes up with the $12 package of cigars, ordered mine this morning. In fact, I ordered two of the $12 packages, and it totaled me up for two free Land Rover models! Hope this is not an error... Looking forward to getting the models!

Thanks kellymoe for the heads up, and D-90 source for the opportunity to share these things!

Smile I too...

...ordered the $12 4 pack...2 actually. It says that I will be getting two Rovers. I'll be happy with one. I am all the way in AZ so not sure how long it will take.

Ordered mine today - 2 cigar packs, 2 D110s. The one on eBay is going for $20! Unreal. Keeping mine...one for my son to mess up with his Tonka toys and one for me to keep in the office. As for the cigars...just another excuse to smoke 'em.

Tonka vs Rover

How would that work? Who would win? You will have to tell us how that turns out.

Chuck,
My 2.5 year old daughter had her hands on it (instant obsession on sight), and 30 seconds later the driver side mirror was broke off. Passenger side 30 minutes later. Now it's a "Look only" object, and i went on ebay and bought her a Bruder toy rover immediately after bed time, that she can refocus her attention on.

The body is die cast, but all the rest is plastic (roof rack, accessories, bumpers, drive train). It needs to be treated more like a model than a toy. If your son plays with tonka, all your going to have left after day one is maybe 1 or 2 tires and a body.

Sort of like a trip to upper helldorado in a bone stock 10k mile 97.

Got my 2 today! Real nice. The detail on them is quite good except the rear lights are UK, not NAS.

I took one off the display pad to finish getting the wrapping strip from the front off and found that these really are "limited editions", not just stamped 0001 of 2004 like it is on both the bases on each of mine. On the bottom of the truck, under the passanger side door next to the frame, the LE series number is printed there. The one I opened is marked: Limited Edition: 1610 / 2004

Other noticeable variances to NAS 110 are that it is marked TD5, and has TD5 wings with side intake. It also has a non-NAS variant rollcage, full length basket (not 3/4), Alloy wheels (not steel), late model dash with vents, center vertical radio and button console, under dash A/C, 3 2nd row seats (not 60/40 split bench), and no rear inward facing seats. I see where teh $70 grand in refurbishments went that he referred to....

Well worth the money.

Well for those of us that got in on the 4 pack deal, we lucked out because JR pulled it on the 4-pack deals.

I got my 2 last Wednesday. Haven't had the chance to completely check them out.

The cigars went over well at a bachelor party!

Finaly got mine today. Not too bad. Nice attention to detail. I wish it didnt have the Afrique graphic on the sides but it's still way cool.

If someone is wondering what to do with the cigars they dont want you can send them my way

I am really impressed with this model's detail. I have never found another Rover model with this level of detail, and if anyone has links to such models (particularly D90s) please share. For those who elected not to take advantage of this awesome offer, here are some teaser photos that are going to make you rsorry to didn't. There are more (and higher res) on my putfile site. Thanks again Kellymoe! Enjoy..
