Christmas Rovers

I know some of you decorate your Defenders for the Christmas season. And while I won't do it this year I would love to see others. This is mine today getting the tree down here in Texas. This was a bit of a Charlie Brown tree but one of my daughters fell in love with it and so we cut it down and brought it home.

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!

Second photo is a better pic from one of my kids better phones not my crappy one. My son loading it on the roof while while twin two watches.

It has been a yearly tradition since '95 for me to use the 90 to get the tree. With current back issues and sheer laziness we used the pickup yesterday... Now I feel guilty.

This being the first year I have owned a 90 I thought about using it, but the sheer distance where we cut down the tree (100 miles ound trip) with two kids and two dogs I took my pick-up. But now I feel guilty too!

Rovers are excellent christmas tree haulers. I took the kids out to Waywayanda, NY Christmas Tree farm today and picked up this 8 footer. Also the disco a few years ago when I lived in NV...

Got a tree with the Land Rover yesterday, it was nice, my dad took the ranger there too, so much nicer throwing it in the bed of a pickup then on the roof.

you can fit more than 1 tree in a 110! 1 on top and one inside! I installed a battery operated lit garland on front of roof rack too.

Pretty sure thats not legal, not that its a big deal but last i checked you aren't supposed to have any forward facing red lights on a non-emergency vehicle. A cop could bust your balls about it.

Picked up the tree today as well using the 90. Sort of cheated: 1) used the Sankey (it was already hooked up as I had just gotten back from Rausch Creek), 2) hit a pre-cut tree farm. Realized after the fact I was wheeling in the woods all weekend and should have just grabbed one for free!

Even more attention for your 110. I have people texting and tagging me in pics of your truck enough as it is.

Doug,
The trip was amazing. 3 weeks of camping in Botswana. All is well on my end. We are enjoying the 110 and outfitting it for overland travel. Thank you for all your help and advice over the past few years.
Cindy and I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy Prosperous New Year.

Dennis
