CDN 110s #s

Just got images of #14/25 CDN (NAS) 110 from a customer, but there is a place out west that says they are selling #14. How drunk were the guys that stamped the CDN badges? We had the same happen with #12 (there were 2).
I figure if anyone can dig up dirt on these it would be here.

I know the FAQ is not infallible, but wanted to get this info out there:

According to the FAQ this is #14/25
http://www.worldwidevintageautos.com...-80205/5107221

But customer just sent me this image of his truck that is in New England.

Anyone know if Dave Schworm is still around Rovers?
I coulda sworn he was telling some of us back around '02 that he was one of the plaque number stampers up in Maryland.
Dave owned the yellow 90 that was featured in Four Wheeler magazine BITD.

I thought that one out west was just on eBay and that they sold it on there. No chance it's already in New England from that auction I suppose?

No, different truck. The #14 in CT has been there for a while and has a white cage and such. The #14 on line has a black cage and such. Image of the CT #14/25 attached.

I haven't seen a picture of the badge on the one for sale out west, so this one could be just a case of the FAQ being wrong.

I wanted to make that happen and put out the word that JimC was handing that project over to me, but I only got information from 2 or 3 people (other than what I have collected over the years myself) so it never went very far other than what JimC had collected.

Mike,

Did you check the VIN of the CT truck against the database? What number does the Database show it should be? My guess is the plaque numbers are just off from the ordered sequence.

The database is ordered based on VIN sequence, but the plaques were not necessarily mounted in that order. Basically whatever plaque was at the top of the pile got attached to whatever truck was next in line.

And, in certain cases early plaques were mounted on later trucks. For instance, the yellow '94 D90 stamped as #1 actually falls nearly a hundred trucks or so down the line in production according to the VIN sequence. That plate was set aside, as I understand it, for the Defender purchased by then LRNA president, Charlie Hughes.

Thanks, the LRFAQ shows the VIN of the one out west should be wearing #14/25. That was why I thought it odd that images of #14/25 showed up this morning.

I know that there were two #10/25 (saw them both). It just seems most of the oddities about the #s are with the CDN 110s.

Images attached of CDN 110s where I had images of the badge and the truck.

Yes, I know some of these trucks look different now with more "bling".

I remember that #15/25 from way back in the day. It's been sold a number of times as I recall. I never understood the previous owner's decision to put a 109 tropical roof on that rig.

Could the plaque possibly be #24/25? The '1' is a bit unclear

Looks like 24, not 14 to me.

According to the FAQ: SALDH1280PA922297 '93 (CDN 24/25) Alpine White

It looks like a "1" and not a "2" to me. And, regardless, I'm guessing the owner has confirmed the plaque # with Mike.

So, here's another question for you:

How many of the original 25 CDN 110's are actually still residing in Canada?

I'm guessing not many....if any at all.

If that is a "1", it is the strangest looking "1" I've seen. The owner could be wrong. All he has is the poor stamp to go by. What is the VIN?
