I don't know what I would do without you guys.. This place is such a wealth of information I can't take it.. lol

Well I think I will be getting a 5" firestick and the cobra all in one handset.. I will insall it in the 2002 style dash that I will be finishing up next week. I will ost pics for you all too.

Radio Shack "big rig" style 40-channel unit with P/A and weather channel. Mounted a 3"x6" outdoor loud speaker between the frame rails underneath the 90 for the P/A. 6 foot wire antenna mounted off the rear spare carrier. Velcro'd the base unit to the top of the cubby box and fabricated a nice little cushiony cover for it. Sure it's redneck, but it works and I dig it.

If you're not looking for the "roger beep" or public address features, the little Cobra handheld unit people rave about would suit you.

Picked up the Cobra 75wxst today. I still ahve to buy the antenna and mount. I think I will get a 6' firestik. I will mount up everything next week when I put my dash back together
