Caution, VW question...

My wife's 2010 Jetta tdi gives an esclamation point message in the lower left hand corner of the center display when moving more than 4mph. What is this? I have called several dealerships and they have no clue...
It's not the brake nor tire pressure warning...

...I love the simple ness of my Defender...

Ditto! I love not driving around a computer. With regard to your issue, does your cruise control work? I found this on the tdi forum.

"A very common problem with modern Dubs is the brake light switch. There are 2 contacts in the switch. One for the CC and one for the brake lights. If your CC doesn't engage, I would go there first."

"had this happen to mine every time I used the right turn signal. then after a while it was just "!" anytime the car was moving. VCDS showed an error in my turn signal stalk. tried taking it apart and cleaning cc switch but no help. I changed the turn signal stalk and no problems since. Job was not too difficult, took a couple hours."

Does she have her seatbelt on? My new WRX does the same thing if you do not have it on.
