caught my truck on fire today

2 foot flames from the parking brake. Melted the cable in half. I was working on some things and pushed some wires out of my way a bit. One of them was a battery cable that I obviously needed to replace. I lit up the tub and it caught fire at the parking brake and melted the parking brake cable in half.

I fixed all of that only to realize once I finished the ARB compressor install, the only leak is inside the rear diff. I also banged my head twice and busted a knuckle.

I think I'm going to let her sit for a few days.

I'm going to get up and have a boat drink and think of warmth while trying to strum my six string.

I've lit mine on fire seriously twice now. First one burned most of my dash away. It sucks. Sorry.

Made it further than half of the other guys, but the Hammers won.

You are not a true Defender owner until you have seen flames coming from somewhere on your truck.

Nice...I was working too on some things yesterday and didn't push the wire from the starter out of way.
So the new exaust destroyed it and everything died on the way home.
2 battery cables and a battery disconnect to replace now.

Oh, and the short poked a hole in the exaust too.

Anything you would drink involving your feet in sand.

I was real careful not to bend the hard line inside the diff. Whats the common leak inside there?

I'm going to tear into it in a while. At least its the rear

In that case it's any drink someone brings to me

There is a seal in the ring that the hard line goes into. That's likely where the leak is. You can bench test once out.
