Yep, its LHD - Nene and other usually have some supply of LHD vehicles that were part of cancelled export orders etc. This one is ROW spec, and I was happy to get one that wasn't white - most are white. And that is correct, I didn't pay any VAT on the thing, either for UK or Germany. Some things are worth joining the military for.

Yeah, I definitely want the NAS 110. I'll probably be overseas for 5-6 of the next 8 years, so Ill keep the ROW 110 overseas until I retire. After that I'll use it as donor for a 130 probably.

Its like any other repetitive trauma - you get used to it and become desensitized.

It is a nice truck for sure. I don't get how these trucks don't come with an arm rest.

What our truck provides is a vehicle which is already in with all paperwork in order. If your in CA it comes with a full CA title. It has removed the risk of you buying a cheap truck from Foley and it getting refused entry, 'cause u won't get your money back from them if u can't get it in.
We took the gamble, as we wanted a truck for the Bullrun. We will take sensible offers on the truck under the asking price. We have over $70,000 invested so far in this truck.

Jim,

Can you at least tell us where the TDI 90 is now? Since you will be overseas for 6-8 years. We might need an intervention.

Its Cairns Blue, and yeah, I really dig it. I was thinking about painting my NAS that color a while back but decided to go with something closer to stock.

I'm gonna go the waxoyl route. I don't think I'll have the time or space in Germany for disassembled Rovers.

You keep asking this question. Suffice to say, its in a barn in Illinois.

And for what its worth guys, you'll always be welcome to come to Germany, crash at the pad, and drink beer.

This is true. Its a point worth noting.

She's not at the mall any more - she's deployed to Afghanistan now too!

I would like to see the "build" photos of this "1984" TDCI truck. For some reason I think they went something like, open bonnet remove 2010 vin plate, install new 1984 vin plate, close bonnet. pocket $70k.
Huge risk if you are caught, yes for the guy that buys it.
If I am wrong I apologize, but I would think a vehicle of that price, that was built to new specs would include the build photos as a selling tool. Maybe they have them in a diamond covered album at Beverly Hills RR/Bentley. I'm just sayin.

Why not ask how it was brought in before playing detective with some dumb assumptions. I think Julian is a stand up guy and most likely a dealership that sells Veryons isn't going to risk their reputation on some VIN swapped truck. I have no clue what he has in the truck but making the assumption he is pocketing 70k is ridiculous. It is like saying a restored 110 from ECR isn't worth 200k because new it was 39k. Time? Materials?

Figure the truck cost 30k to 50k new then it had to be made into a 84 for the VIN change. I have no idea what goes into this but it isn't free. Julian said he has mid 70s into it so it isn't like he is hiding that he wants to make a profit which last I checked he is a licensed importer and can do what we cant. Why should we judge his profit margin. If what he is doing is so easy why aren't we all driving new defenders.

I see no risk in this truck other than the fact the bank will take it away after I can't make the first payment
