Keep in mind Athena is a broker just like the rest of them. My dealings with her were years ago and she got paid on delivery.

Thanks Doug (and everyone else).
The process of buying a truck from the left coast and shipping it is new (and scary) to me.
The 90 is from here so I feel pretty good about it but shipping . . . . . that makes me nervous.
Thanks,
Mike

I've got an update that some will find of interest.
Since Coast to Coast didn't haul to me I asked for a recommendation and she told me about Golden Key Express. They are not brokers and haul everything on their own fleet of ten car haulers.
They came back with a quote of $1325 from San Diego to Atlanta.

That's a bit pricier than Mercury ($850) but they are brokers and there may be issues.

I also spoke to Athena today and she quoted me $1300 uncovered and $1800 enclosed. Once again she's a broker.

I didn't hear back from DMT yet, I'll give them a call tomorrow.

Mike

Athena is awesome and cannot say enough good things.

I've transported 8 trucks in the last few years. The last 6 with her. I've NEVER had a bad experience.

Excellent.

DMT got back to me with a quote of $1300 on an open & $1650 for an enclosed trailer.

But . . . . I've convinced the wife that since we need to go to SoCal anyway we could just drive the truck back to Ga.

So that's the route we'll take.

Thanks for the help!

Mike

FWIW I just called Athena today and used her to send a 90 to Houston. I called and the truck is being picked up less than 12hrs later. This after being jerked around by large natl co's for a week.

Looks like I will be doing the same; for reference Athena quoted me $750 from Orlando to Dallas for a 110

For truly top notch service, contact JP Logistics. They're definitely not the cheapest outfit around, but they've got serious experience:
