I wasn't so lucky. Put my cap on my tire while filling from a jerrycan on a multi day trip. Of course I was so busy stowing the can that I forgot about the gas cap. When I figured it out on the next stop about an hour or two later we used a juice cap with electrical tape and zap straps to make a reusable cap that lasted for a week until my new one came in. $80 later.

I have lost enough gas caps to know that a cheap generic cap from most parts stores fits just fine.

Stop by Manhattan, KS and say hi. There are a few of us here. You're welcome to stay in our guest bedroom or car camp on the driveway.

Manhattan has decent beer, great food, lots of corn, and we even have a hill.

I had that happen once in the LIE. A load of girls heading to the city to hook up with Dan flashed me in the defender ...
