Can anyone recommend a good transport company?

I would really appreciate a recommendation for a reliable vehicle transport company to move a Defender from Texas to Florida. I would value a recommendation for a company with whom you have had personal experience. Thanks in advance for your help. Please pm or email me.

I usually use Swapalease & LeaseTrader to find my daily driver, most of which end up being 1000+ miles away, and used to use Passport Transport. Very reliable and a good upper end choice for closed transport, but it got to be too expensive to justify in most cases. I'd use them again if shipping a very valuable or collector-type car.

A few months ago I used RCG Logistics (www.rcgauto.com) to move a 2012 MB CLS550 from Long Island to Dallas. I was concerned about a nearly new car being on an open truck, but it arrived in flawless condition and was very inexpensive --- under $1000 to ship about 1600 miles. A friend just used RCG to move his car from Dallas to Chicago and also had a good experience. They were one of Swapalease.com's recommended vendors.

We use Reliable Carriers and Prestige Auto transport to move our auto show and prototype cars at Nissan and both are excellent. I've personally used them as well.

Might not be the least expensive option but they are reputable.

Cheers,

I used these guys just a couple of months ago. http://www.dasautoshippers.com/
No problems, they did exactly what they said they would do when they said they would do it.

x2 on http://www.dasautoshippers.com/. They have an option were you can drop off and pick up at an agent (rather than door to door) that saved me quite a bit. Agents are usually tow companies.

Don't forget that you can also do a search of some key terms, and likely get your answer even faster though.

DAS is good because they can pick up the car immediately, although it won't ship right away. I think it took about a month to get my RRC to Virginia from California. They were able to pick up the car from the seller the same day.
