buy 4 tires get 4 wheels free

Got an email today from 4 wheel parts, I thought I would just pass this info on for those interested in new rubber. It's only on the ProComp tires, but whatever, still a deal.

I don't see how it is a deal. You get a pro comp tire--lets say the 35" and a rim, 4 wheels, for $1000. That is $250/wheel. I can get a 35" MTR and a rim for that. Sure, they say it is $8xx, but then they charge either $100 shipping or you take out the tire warranty and then it is $9xx . Any way you slice it, it is about $1000/4 tires. It is not ~bad~ but it is not smok'n either. They sure had me checking it out, though.

Do they sell wheels for Rovers? Last time I stopped in to 4 Wheel Wholesale and asked about tires for my Rover they said they dont sell tires for Land Rovers . ????????
What the heck?? The salesman seemd totaly annoyed by my asking. I asked a few questions about synthetic winch line and that realy threw him for a loop. They have some good stuff in there but they realy cater to the "big truck small penis" crowd.

I've been by there when I bought my BFG MT's 255/85 16. They had about 4 pickup trucks parked in the lot, all with a least 6" lift and then another 8" body lift, something ridiculous like that. I felt like a child buying my measly 33" tires.

4WPW is great for some cheap parts, but they are terrible at dealing with the customer and know nothing tech related. If you want a good deal, keep an eye on ebay or check out the vender section over at Pirate. If you are patient, you can get some smoken deals. I just made a good buy, but took a month or two of brousing to find it.
