It did before I could cross the border with it. Might have got it through if the transmission and transfer case had been removed.

Pulled the two of them apart at Canada Tire in Lethbridge Saturday and crossed on Sunday morning duty free.

All in a days work I guess. The city of Calgary was very beautiful to see for even the short time we were there.

ROFL! just so I understand it, they had no issues with the sum of the parts being essentially a whole vehicle? Oh Canada.

I don't want to start a long winded debate, just curious...

Can't you bring in virtually any 110 you want from europe if there is no engine/trans? Isn't it just considered a parts car and then you would have everything to build a 110 around a legit bulkhead?

We split it to two trailers. One frames drivetrain etc... The other body parts. I'll find a picture.

Its my opinion you still need a registered importer to bring a late model one in that way.

JP two things that I still ponder in my tiny mind.

1) How you almost convined my wife to buy the pile in Montrose last September.
2) With the curent state of National Security, How the hell you got back into the States.

Cheers

Pendy,

Do you have an idea on the pricing for these trucks? Are they going to be left hand drive? Automatic? Diesel?

My goal is to get a 110 late this year or early 09, so I may be a good candidate.

Scott

That about right, this is the ball park area we charge from $44,000 upwards depending on spec built onto a new chassis. We use 1983 donor 110's though.

I'm sure they never check this, because I see tons of trucks with different engines, but in a worst case if that was originally a 2.5 4 cyl 110 the DOT/Customs could reject it.
I do not want to get into a debate. I'm just stating what it says on the EPA/DOT import forms.
Thats good advice, but we have not had any problems so far, when we change the engines we inform the DVLA and change all the engine details on the V5 document. we shipped dougs trucks to him, and trust him with our trucks too.
