Brown 110 sighting, I70 MD

I saw a brown 110 (likely '83/84) on a trailer being towed westbound on I70 in MD somewhere between hagerstown and Frederick around 2:45 PM.

Was it anyone on the board?

Dave, does yours have a Defender 200Tdi in it with a slightly tweeked left-hand sill (better known as a special edition Janey Sill)? If so, we saw it at the docks in Baltimore when we collected mine. Doug and I were driving mine around the lot while waiting for the rocket scientists at K-Line to tell us how many ways they screwed up my transaction. Anyways, we were checking out some sweet Toyota FJ Troop carriers when a guy drove up with a flatbed asking us if the truck we were in was his. We both gave him a puzzled look. We said that there's a brown one and took him over to see it. He said that the one he was to collect wouldn't start so Doug said, "Let's find out." The brown one fired right up and the guy said, "Well, must not be mine." He was there on behalf of Skytop, but we didn't figure him for a Rover guy.

Yep - that was mine!

I too saw the Landcruiser trucks - but the one this guy was after was straight from the outback - or so it appeared. The guy took us to that first assuming it was what we were after. He mentioned it was a non-starter after I told him it wasn't ours.

The bent sill was when my father was preparing to pressure-wash it in England - it fell off the two-post lift - which luckilly was only 1ft off the ground at that point!!! Only bent the sill - door step / door look like they missed it.

And yes - That was definately me on the road.

Trailer towed like a dream - way better than a dolly ever would. The F250 has to go however; 13mpg @ 60mph first fill, 14.5mpg @ 50mph second fill - both towing the empty trailer, then 9.9mpg between docks and into the hills, 12.5mpg on the toll roads, and finally 9.0mpg at 60mph on the I80, I69 and I94 back home.
That POS 4-speed was a night-mare on the hills, it would either bog the engine down with too high a ratio, or scream the motor, before upshifting, at which point it'd bog down again...
