Brexit

Looks like it's a good time to buy an ex-MOD from Withams...

This rate is based on speculation of the vote outcome. When we wake up tomorrow it may go even lower with an exit from the EU.

I wouldn't be surprised if UK vendors start fire-selling parts and equipment to US distributors just to get the USD before things get even worse.

Sky News is projecting an exit as of right now, history in the making. Any bets on Germany and/or The Netherlands departing too?

Had a few discussions with some friends and they laughed at me when I said I thought it would happen and was worried about what ramifications it would have on GB, Europe and the US.

Lots of speculation on the impact will be interesting to see what is to come.

Going to UK next week. Good timing.

I'll just leave that there.

Geert Wilders just
stated the Netherlands should vote on NExit. I am wondering about Greece, also.

And damn, I Just spent over 1K with Paddock, YRM, and Ashcroft the past month!

Pound may have dropped, but hopefully inflation does not kill any dollar/pound conversions for us.

I need big brakes front and rear. This is tremendous news. Tarox or the twisted Alcon. Just keep sinking GBP.

There is a lot of fear mongering and a lot of politics on either side of this vote. I won't pretend to understand it all, but I will say that I always like a country that is independent.

I think it is going to be hard on the UK, and I think a lot of the Liberals in the EU will try to punish the UK for this vote -- tariffs, business limitations and red-tape just because they can. So who's to blame for it being a difficult transition? The people who voted to leave, or the people who have yet to respond?

I think I'd still vote to exit, if I were a Brit. I just think being independent as a country is better. Doesn't mean you are racist, doesn't mean you want a war, doesn't mean you hate immigrants, or want to force others to do your will. But maybe that's just me.

The politics and ramifications are way over my head. I just want cheap brakes.

I'm reading online people referring to this vote as the "Trump Effect". Translation..... people are sick of being told what to do and how to think. It is an anti politically correct vote. Short term I think we may see turmoil but in the long run I think the EU needs the UK more than the UK needs the EU. I could be wrong but lets see what happens. Grab some and lets see how this turns out.

Plus isn't this just a referendum? In essence just telling the MPs what the public wants?

I too need parts, so the timing is great.

The results really surprised me. Having lived in the UK, the average everyday Brit hates the EU, but when you hit the population in the cities, they are generally pro EU. After the Scots decided to stay in the UK, I really thought the BREXIT vote would be stay.

Dave is right though. The Brits have always thought of themselves as separate even when the EU was doing really well. Now it is a huge mess and they are tired of rules and huge fees associated with random people across the channel.

I remember seeing anti EU signs all over the countryside the last time I was there. London will regret this, but the rest will be happy as long as the economy holds out.

Well the UK voted out, but it was a SLIM margin. The pound against the dollar is at about $1.36 this morning (0800) and was down to 1.33 in the middle of the night. Curious to see how this all plays out.

The Brit economy will take a pretty big hit once it all plays out. The free trade thing really helps their economy. I'm curious to see how low the pound will go. I really need some parts too.

Just did a transfer to LRI Solutions (Boost wheels). Saved myself almost $100 by waiting until this morning versus yesterday using TransferWise.

I can understand why Scotland voted against the leave. It wouldn't surprise me if Scotland votes for independence now as they lost the EU advantage.

Maybe the EU will send its army across the Channel to stop this Brexit madness.
