Yep, just ordered the tranny oil pan conversion kit for my RRS from the UK. Saved a good amount.

Prices of defender imports will remain unchanged regardless of conversion. More markup stateside.

The UK pound may have dropped some overnight because of fears after the vote but it wasn't trending low because they left.

I bet Scotland doesn't leave if they vote again.

This is a shame really and will destabilize Europe for years. Short sighted fear.

Pound = $1.38 this morning. That's the lowest I can remember, and I'm old.

My first visit to London, summer 1970, $2.40 per pound. OUCH!

My second visit to London, February 1985, $1.11. Thought I'd never see anything close to that again.

Congratulations to Great Britain for saying no to overbearing unelected politicians changing their laws and way of life.

Mike

It's funny to watch the "lefties" mourn Brexit. THE PEOPLE see it as a failed social experiment and wanted out, each for their own reasoning.
Let's not forget we are 2 weeks away from celebrating our exit and perhaps this is a glimpse into the November election. Reports are saying the working class vote carried this election.

Everyone is focused on whether UK is doing the right thing in getting out. But I think the real question is whether or not the EU will try to punish the UK for getting out. Will they realize that they actually need the UK, and continue to trade with them despite the fact that they can no longer tell the UK what to do?

The more I look into how the EU is run, the more I think I would vote to get out of it. Economically, it is a risk, mainly because of the vindictiveness of the type of people who run the EU; but politically, it is a no-brainer.

First visit to US in July 1985 it was almost at parity.

Scotland will push for referenda again, leave and adopt Euro.

Brits living in Europe screwed. Next PM will be Boris Johnson whose hair is crazier than DONALD, who is landing on Scotland any time now.

Wonder what PayPal is give for the exchange rate today.

It looks like this could be the beginning of the end for the EUO. I bet we see similar pushes coming soon from France, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands...

Will the European Union try to punish Great Britain for Brexit? "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" is wrong because nothing is more furious than a scorned liberal. After all, liberals KNOW what is best for YOU!

Yes, the EU will cut themselves off at the knees in their efforts to punish Brexit.

IMHO

Mike
